EVO TRANSMISSION EXCHANGE SERVICE
The exchange service lets you send in your core transmission and receive a fully rebuilt unit in return, minimising downtime. All exchange transmissions are built to the same standard as our new units and carry a full warranty.
Applies to 2003–2007 Mitsubishi Evolution 8 & 9 (5-speed).
Stage 1 Exchange
The Stage 1 exchange is a complete base-level rebuild of your core transmission. All worn synchros, sleeves, hubs, bearings, seals, and non-reusables are replaced. Transmission is glass-beaded and assembled to current Technical Service Bulletin specifications.

Stage 2.5 Exchange — $1,950 w/core
The Stage 2.5 exchange is TRE's flagship exchange unit. It combines a full synchro rebuild with a performance gear ratio package chosen from the best EVO-8 and EVO-9 gearsets.
Stage 2.5 gear ratios included:
- NEW EVO-8 or 9 1st gear & input shaft
- NEW EVO-9 2nd gearset
- NEW EVO-8 or 9 3rd gearset — your choice
- NEW EVO-8 or 9 4th gearset — your choice
- NEW EVO-8 or 9 5th gearset — your choice
- NEW EVO-9 4.53 final drive output shaft & gear (4.11 or 3.73 ratio optional)

- New 1st/2nd hub & sleeve
- New 3rd/4th hub & sleeve

- New oil seals
- New synchro springs
- New heavy duty Neodymium trash magnet & magnetic drain plug
- New snap rings, roll pins, bearing shims, and all non-reusables
